Short form: I LOVED IT!

Long Form:
  1. Oswald gave me nightmares! Bill Pullman played him perfectly, creepy, slimy, yeah, played perfectly, *shivers*
  2. Rex, I'm of two minds, I liked him, he was played perfectly as a young "up and come" at the CIA trying to make a big name for himself, but Phifer played him almost too well, I was like, "Wow, you're a dick dude."
  3. Esther was positively adorable, I'm sorry, I just found her totally precious and innocent, a lot like Gwen at the start of Series 1, but way more likable for some reason. Gwen had to grow on me, and now she's one of my favs, but it definitely took time.
  4. Dr. Vera (whatever her last name was) was suitably curious and angry, and righteous
  5. Gwen, Gwen is back and a total BAMFG, like I said, Gwen had to grow on me, and it really took until CoE to make it stick, but now, Gwen is awesome, the scene where she's feeding the baby and telling her about her dream was perfect. Then the scene with her mum, "Yes Mum, I'm feeding her lard!" I laughed so hard at that, and then when she told her mum to back off about the baby's weight, I was like, "YES! YOU GO FIERCE MAMA GWEN!"
  6. Rhys, there are just not enough synonyms for the word adorable.
  7. Andy (see #6)
  8. JACK , JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Jack is back! YAY! YAY! YAY! He's back with awesome levels of fierceness! "Never annoy me again!" *giggles* "Nice to meet you Esther." *awwwww* "Owen Harper, FBI." *Sniffles and giggles* "Can't leave you alone for a minute!" *Cheers*
  9. Baby Anwen is completely the most precious child, love that!
  10. Overall, episode 1 was awesome, amazing, wonderful, just yes, yes, yes, yes!

I know a lot of people hate Gwen, and I didn't like her chasing Jack in the first two Seasons, but I love her spirit and the way should would fight for her family and her sweet smile when Jack returned. I love some humor from Rhys about Gwen running back to Jack & TW. I just LOVE the new show and I thought I wouldn't after so many dying, especially Ianto. I'm a Ianto/Jack shipper.

I'm still confused why so many hated Gwen because she was bossy and said what she thought? I don't think the latter is a bad thing....and I like her toughness.

I will have to get used to the new people. Takes me awhile to learn the new cast and who I like. :D

Really the problem was was that people thought she was getting major preferential treatment over the others characters, and at times, she was, but she really grew on me. I think she just had to develop from the "eyes" for the audience into a fully fleshed out character. Plus she reminds me of me, bossy, nosy, feisty, and some of those are not my best characteristics, it's really why I couldn't enjoy her character as much.

I like her feisty attitude and her smile when she sees Jack, this season's Gwen is one that I like from Day 1, and that's a good thing.

I agree. And Gwen had to grow on me, too. I didn't like her much in series one and two, but it got actually better towards the end of series two and in CoE, she won me over. So I was really happy to see her again. And Anwen really must have got all the good genes from Gwen and Rhys to be so utterly "I wanna reach into the screen and cuddle her" adorable.

It took about the same amount of time for me to really like Gwen, and I think it's really because I'm a lot like her, nosy, obnoxious, bossy, etc. and it kinda made me uncomfortable to watch her. That being said, I really like her this time, right from the get-go, I like her. :)

Anwen, oh bloody hell, where'd they get that super cute baby, she was PERFECT! I love the smile she gave Rhys when he holding the shotgun.

This is going to be a good season *fingers crossed*

I have to admit, I was scared it wouldn't be and hesitated to watch the first episode, because I have certain expectations. I can, for example, live with Ianto's absence, and just as long as Jack and Gwen don't get together, Jack can do whatever he likes. I think their relationship is much better in its UST-state, even though that really wound down since the wedding.

But the first episode was really good. Not perfect, but no pilot for a new show or season is perfect. And I don't understand when people complain that we didn't get any answers, because it was the first episode, and it would be quite boring to have all myteries solved right away. I also think that the plot line will be much thicker than people think. I heard that some think that the show can't hold the suspension over ten episodes, but as far as I interpret the trailers, there's gonna be quite a lot of religious things sprouting from Miracle Day (always interesting and my magister thesis will thrive on it), then the search for the reason, the (hopefully) reversal. I'm almost afraid that ten episodes won't be enough.

I really liked it and will be back for more. I also hope the chasm between the watchers and not-watchers won't get too big.
